What we collect

• A pseudonymous visitor ID (cookie nvid, 12 months) and a session ID (cookie nsid, ends after 30 minutes without activity). In the EU, EEA and UK we set them only after you click Accept; elsewhere they are set by default and you can switch them off under “Privacy choices”.
• Your consent choice (cookie nconsent, 6 months).
• Pages you view, searches and the links you click on this site. They are linked to the IDs above when you allow it; otherwise they are only counted anonymously.
• We never store your IP address. To prevent abuse we keep a one-way hash of it that changes every day.

Why we collect it

To run the site, to measure which sources send visitors, to credit partner sites when you sign up through our links, and to prevent abuse. Legal basis: your consent in the EU, EEA and UK; our legitimate interests elsewhere.

Sharing

Outbound links pass through our own link router, which tells the destination which of our sites sent you. We do not sell personal data and use no third-party advertising or analytics cookies. Ads in labelled ad slots run in isolated frames that cannot read our cookies.

Retention

Raw visit events are kept for 13 months; after that only aggregated statistics remain.
